IS THAT A SPRING FLOWER?

I do love the newness of spring and all that comes with it. But these flowers, made with Amy Butler paper have a older feeling to them that I just love. I can not stop using these great crystal brads. They are one of my favorite tools to give a big bump up to a small project! Here is a little ATC that I tossed together with the flowers and this great image.

I am torn on the words, but some must be added. I really am feeling great about getting these quick little projects done like a simple ATC that I can add a picture to the front or back of. BUT JUST THEN IT HIT ME......I am going to make some ATC's that can be added to a 12 x 12 page as a page accent so two birds one stone. Do you know what I mean? Yes I am getting excited over here. What are you creating lately? I totally get the entire bad side of the world of money. So to make it so that kids are not seeing it as well we have been turning the TV off a lot and doing fun little projects. We are getting great together time in and I am getting things made that I did not otherwise have time for. So many creative things to do...so little time.

Well I must get back to putting people to bed. The big kids just finished mid-terms so it will be back to normal around here. The great thing about big tests for me is all of the things that you forgot you knew about science and history. They are all there in the notes. Everything from battles to hybrids, it was all there to refresh my 38 year old memory. What fun being a mom!

Fun New Products on The Lane!

Here is my latest thought in ATC's. I want to do the year in ATC highlights. I am creating a set of months of the year as the base for you to then add a 2.5 x 3.5 ATC to. The base cards measure 2 3/4's x 3.5 so when they are on the rounder you can quickly turn to the month you are looking for. Kind of like file tabs. Let me know what you think of them. I am always trying to come up with more fun things for you guys to ATC with!

So a bunch of these great little chipboard buttons have arrived here at Brambleberry Lane. They come in RED, ORANGE AND GREEN/BLUE. I have already sold out of the brown choice but I am trying to get more. I will let you know if I do. What I think would be great is to add these to fabric flowers or to paper ones and really add great dimension to a card, tag or page!

AIN'T TRAVEL GRAND

Yes, mom I did just say AIN'T! It was just used to be silly so stop correcting my grammer...lol! Any who, here is my new fun entry for today. A fun fabulous set of TRAVEL ATC'S. I love this set to make a simple trip of memories really special. The fronts have great travel items such as planes and symbols that point you in the right direction when you are out and about. The backs of this set are great solid colors. You could add embellishments on either side and the project will have that great finished look. And what do you think of this awesome collection of colors. They will POP when you are creating and look fabulous when showing them off.

Oh here is another great idea...Say you are going on a week or two of vacation. In the few minutes before you turn in at night you could jot down the days events on the back side of these ATC's. Then once you get home and get some photos developed add them on and have a finished project of your family VA KA all done. I love the word finished! So lets get going and plane for that winter cruise or develop those photos from last summer. You will love the outcome.

More White Chipboard Fun with Frames

I just can't stop the fun with fabulous chipboard shapes. Here is my latest entry into the world of embellishments. They are chipboard frames. I started out with white but I am also going to offer them in solid cardstock as well so that people have options. They have perfect holes for brads to connect them to your project. I love adding demention to a project and with this set of 16 it will be easy for you to do.

I have also had some new keys that I am working on and they will be fun too. I am also going to be making up packages. Maybe you don't want 16 of one thing but 4 of one plus 4 of a bunch of others would be a better configuration. So keep an eye out for those great little starter packages coming your way.

Has it been cold where you all are? It surley has been here. I am totally missing being able to visit with my family with all the weird weather we have been having. The kids have gotten in a bunch of snow time which is grand. Have you sat on a sled in years? I did the other day and I must say it was so funny. Walking back up the hill was a adventure and it makes you feel young. Or maybe that was just the fact that my face was frozen. As you see here, Pat and Noah enjoyed it all as well!

WHAT CAN I MAKE WITH WHITE CHIPBOARD?

Well I have been trying to think of new things that would make everyone want to create. That really has been a mission of mine for a long time. I walk into a craft store and think."oh yes I can". But then I go and teach a scrapbooking class and I find these people that have never had
that rush of feeling and thought that you must go home and create something fabulous. So to help the masses this is what I do. Find one thing and turn it into another so you can try too. So before Christmas, when all of my power outage problems where going on, I was delivered a package of white chipboard that I had ordered. It was the last thing on my mind at the time with the weather and holiday's causing confusion and delay with my schedule. But now that the holiday fog has lifted, lets do it! So yesterday we started with the white chipboard ATC's and maybe by the end of the day you will find some more chipboard fun. I know you are excited.
As far as inspiration is concerned, have you ever just tried copying. I know you die hard scrappers out there get a ton of Scrapbooking Mags. Why not try to copy one of those great layouts and make it your own. Do the sketch thing. Just draw the layout on paper and change the colors to the papers you have on hand. Don't waist what you have already purchased, use it and love it. And once again I will tell you to "TRY ATC'S". I promise you will love how quick and easy it is to finish something!

CONVERSATION HEARTS ARE HERE!

Well as you may know, I actually grew up with my husband. We went to school together. When it was Valentines Day and we all exchanged Valentines, I would wait to see what heart I would get from him and what would it say. All of these years later I am sure one of them must have said MARRY ME! He denies it but it had to have happened that way. OK,OK, he didn't even know I was alive back then except for the few classes I sat in front of him for, but I like to believe it is true.
So as these little conversation hearts are one of my favorite childhood memories, now they are one of my favorite SCRAPBOOKING and ATC EMBELLICHMENT! Here, I used them on the ATC and I love how it turned out. These ATC's are your very own little works of art that can be connected with a ring or two and made into a mini book or used on a great ATC Rounder. With this one, I attached a ribbon to hang some of the hearts that I dusted with glitter. If you like to add a little fun with these just let the hearts or what ever else you are using hang over the edge. The great thing about these is they are NOT a formal ALBUM, so don't treat them as such. Let things hang over, pop up and move for a fun alternative!

PAPER, PAPER, AND MORE NEW PAPERS!

I love putting packs of paper together. Years ago when I started teaching scrapbooking classes the one thing I heard over and over was..."I can't match paper, please help" So many scrappers go into a store and buy a ton of things they are still looking at years later because there is no matching them to anything else. This is where I come in. I love to search all of the great companies out there and put together some great grouping for you. Here are a few examples of some of the new offering I have at Brambleberry Lane for you to create with. Isn't the new B&W a great fit. I am always on the look out for wonderful B&W papers because they have so many uses. The brown and tans with the blues and green tossed in for good measure from Chatter Box will make your ideas soar. This is one of my new favorite set. Then last but not least the Basic Grey set, Eva is such a wonderful combo of single sided cardstock that will never leave you wondering what to make with it, only thing you will be wondering is...how did I run out so quick!
So go on over to Brambleberry Lane and let me know what you think of all the new papers. Plus CHA will be in a matter of weeks and I am holding my breath until all of the new great papers are released.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EQUALS HAPPY ORGANIZATION!

Here it is. One of the many parts to my new organization in 09' theme. Sure I can vow to drop 20 pounds but less face facts, if that happens great. But I know I can see a organized working area everyday. I have been putting these together since Christmas morning and I have a wall of fun now to work with. I am separating and organizing because last year I purchased just one of these little guys. Every time I went to put my hands on something, there is was. No, I am not a info-mercial or anything like that. I am just living the piece and satisfaction of finding everything in its place.
Alright, alright, I'll think about the 20 pounds thing too!
