EASTER EGGS MADE WITH LAST YEARS NAPKINS!

So I was getting out all of my decorations a couple of weekends ago for the upcoming Easter Holiday. As I was going into the box I ran into some of last years napkins from my turn hosting the big dinner. I must have loved the pics on them and kept them for the same reason I collect scrapbooking papers. Then I had a idea...I ran out to the store and picked up some plastic eggs, large ones. And then it was magic time. You all know how much I love to create but different things like this REALLY make me happy to create.

I started by gluing the plastic egg together. I mixed a bit of water with Mod Podge to thin it out and add pieces of the napkins in it. Now, if the colors of the eggs are dark you may need to either paint them lighter or add a extra layer of white napkin. I tore apart the napkins and used just the top layer on some chipboard eggs. But you really do need to layer it on the plastic ones.

The last step after they dried was to, yes you guessed it, GLIMMER MIST!!!!! I could not help myself. And it really made a great shine to them. I hope you like all of the pictures. Please let me know if you have any questions and by all means leave me a comment. Oh, and just a thought, I used napkins with pretty pictures, what do you have lying around? It might surprise you!

So when you have three boys and one girl you need to keep them apart some times. Mo is the oldest so they all want to be in her business 24-7! So this is my take on a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign. I was doing my blog trip this morning and there she was on The Graphics Fairy. She had the look on her face similar to Mo's when she is unhappy because a little boy has barged into her room.

Now I know that this is not going to stop them.....

But I am fairly sure that is way more decorative then her writing on a piece of paper in black marker. My thought is that wouldn't this look great if you owned a Bed and Breakfast! They totally would look beautiful on the doors rather then a plain old sign. Well I am off to make a video of this little creation so thanks for stopping by, and remember to ....

MY NEW SPRING PAPER BAG ALBUM

This is a side view of the album. This is where all the tags go in the pockets of the paper bag album. They all have various items on them from keys, to flowers, to milk caps as a tag pull!

Hi all! I just wanted to check in and let you know the video of my latest mini is up on my youtube channel. This one is a paper bag album. I love making these because you can get such a great look and have all of these pockets that are so quick and easy to create. And you all know how much I love to create. The birds in my little creation come from Graphics Fairy. They are so bright and pretty. And check out the ruffle around the frame on front and the back cover. It is simply crepe paper with a bunch of different glimmer mist layers of color. It make the best ruffles that perfectly match your work.

Please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts about the album. I will do a tutorial soon on how to make a paper bag album so if anyone hasn't done that yet you will love it!

ANOTHER NEW KIT IS GRACING THE PAGES OF BRAMBLEBERRY LANE

This is the Mother's Day Kit that is the easiest kit for you. Everything you see comes in the kit and let me tell you I had a ball putting this one together because it screams "GIRLY"! Since my Morgan won't let me dress her in cute little outfits anymore now that she is 16, I will have to dress scrapbooks instead. You can truly make this for any occasion but I was thinking of the perfect Mother's Day gift myself. So wonderful for your mom( as long as she makes it back north before Mother's Day and stops picking up every antique the South doesn't have tied down). Or for your mother in law. Fill it with those darling little baby faces and she will be blown away. And it is so quick to do. I traced the teapots from the papers one night while watching TV. Then yesterday morning I stood here creating and was done in no time. Plus I didn't come any where near using all of the products in the kit and bonus there is a set of stamps as well in there. So lets get to it everyone, you will have fun, lots left over and make a mother happy. What could be better then that?

And don't forget to check out my youtube channel to see the video of my version of the kit!

WONDERFUL NEW STICKERS HAVE MADE THERE HANDMADE STICKY BACKS TO THE LANE!

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=42247356

I totally love a vintage look or distressed look to anything around me. And these hit that right on the head. They are this great kind of mustard background with lines going across the face of them. I just love them for a new Spring pick. In fact these papers from Basic Grey where ones I saw on line and didn't order from them. Then I saw them at a store and in the middle of the isle proclaim..."these would make great stickers"! Know one knew what I was talking about so I took my purchases to the counter and left. I should stick to ordering papers straight from the manufacturer in the comfort of my studio where no one can here me!

This next set which is also Basic Grey paper, is bold, pretty and a real eye catcher. This set is the combination of a couple of different papers but they really flow well together. How pretty they would be a a Princess Invite, or page to remember the day with!
Well let me know what you all think. I love to hear from you, and remember....

I HAVN'T MADE A ATC/ACEO IN A WHILE SO TODAY LOOKS LIKE A GOOD DAY!

Hi all! I just wanted to drop in for a quick little post. Had some great SASSAFRAS paper on my work area and it gave me a idea. I had just gotten some of the greatest little graphics from The Graphics Fairy and I wanted to use these little girls. Hey snow birds(that is code for mom and dad) don't they look like Wendy and me? Well I think they do. So I layered them up and a new ATC is born for my rounder. The Sassafras papers come with these great edges and you can use them in so many ways. I inked up all of these pieces and away the glue went to make this collage of fun in a 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 setting.

OK world, it is time for me to go meet my big sister for breakfast. Life goes so fast when someone asks you to meet for breakfast(or ice cream Sundas) you should ALWAYS say yes!
