New Thinking of You Card!

Hey all! Here is another fun idea I came up with to use my stickers. This card design is so easy to do but really gives you a great result. I started by taking the middle paper in the sandwich and punching out the three 1" circles. Then I took the top layer and turned it over. I traced the circles on to the back of the top layer and used the scalloped 1 1/4" punch. It makes it really easy to eyeball the sizing and placement this way. Then I wrapped around the ribbon and and connected them to the card itself.

I used a complimentary paper from the set so it really went well together. Once again the back looks as good as the front and it has a great clean finish. Then the very last thing was to stick the stickers in the 3 circle punched on the front and it is all done. What do you think? I would love to hear from you!

More New STUFF!

Some of these I have been making for a couple of weeks and just have not had the time to list here. Others are brand new to the Lane. The above Red and White are to die for. They are a great color combination first of all. But they really give a elegant feel when added to your cards.

I love these snowflakes. The blue is just light enough and not to heavy. This is a paper with flowers here and there on it so you pick up the white lines every once and a while. So like real snowflakes, no two are alike.

This new Kitchen Paper is so awesome. I love the retro feel. What a great base for a hand made recipe book. You could gather a bunch of old hand written family recipes and really create something special.

I have these ribbons in white, red and a combo red/white. They are so different and you will find loads of things to do with them.

And I am sure by now you have seen my flash cards. These vintage finds are so great for adding to a page or even cutting and using as a base for your ATC's. I am always finding things to do with these!

What a pretty blue/white combo these snowflake stickers are. Soft when you first see them but when you add them to a white envelope they totally pop!

And last but not least these great new clear stamps from 7 Gypsies. It is a really big set for only 8.00 that you have to check out. I love adding stamps where ever I like on a page. Or stamping on separate paper, cutting and then adding back in. So simple and easy to make that layered look!

What Are You Working With Today?

I love these ribbon buckles. Sometimes a get these great little things and then stair at them. First I think, aren't they just grand. Then I think, I don't want to use them on the wrong project and then be without them when I want to use them. Can you see my problem here? I love little things like this. I am sure it goes back to my child hold when I would take a bunch of little trinkets under my cape to church and inevitable drop them all when it was quite. I am good at being loud and making noise. I have never been called a shrinking violet that is for sure. Any who, I need to get over it and start playing with some of these fun little toys around here.
I have them in brass squares,

as well as ovals.

Oh yeah and these darn cute rectangles.

Aren't they all so much fun. You can also slip them over paper, not just ribbon. I love adding accents that have dimension. The shine of these guys will really catch your eye and add to your next project!

IS THAT A SPRING FLOWER?

I do love the newness of spring and all that comes with it. But these flowers, made with Amy Butler paper have a older feeling to them that I just love. I can not stop using these great crystal brads. They are one of my favorite tools to give a big bump up to a small project! Here is a little ATC that I tossed together with the flowers and this great image.

I am torn on the words, but some must be added. I really am feeling great about getting these quick little projects done like a simple ATC that I can add a picture to the front or back of. BUT JUST THEN IT HIT ME......I am going to make some ATC's that can be added to a 12 x 12 page as a page accent so two birds one stone. Do you know what I mean? Yes I am getting excited over here. What are you creating lately? I totally get the entire bad side of the world of money. So to make it so that kids are not seeing it as well we have been turning the TV off a lot and doing fun little projects. We are getting great together time in and I am getting things made that I did not otherwise have time for. So many creative things to do...so little time.

Well I must get back to putting people to bed. The big kids just finished mid-terms so it will be back to normal around here. The great thing about big tests for me is all of the things that you forgot you knew about science and history. They are all there in the notes. Everything from battles to hybrids, it was all there to refresh my 38 year old memory. What fun being a mom!
